This morning we were given the all clear to fish. I did run a couple of commercial trips and the Halibut fishing is good. The schedule has been updated, we have to fish a max of 5 people now, but we can go. Thanks for your patience, and we hope to see you soon on the boat.
As you know the Country is dealing with the Corona Virus and SoleMan fishing is too. We are keeping the boat deep cleaned, and CAN fish, however we are gonna respect the CDC recommendations on distance.
For the foreseeable future we will hold at 5 people on all trips thru 4/7. Fishing is open, and feel free to join us. I’ll make adjustments on price and feel free to call me as needed.
Stay safe and healthy.
As you know, there is a certain bug going around that involves heavy breathing, and sweaty body aches......... No not that one, but Sturgeon fever.
Aidan and his Dad came out on a trip today, and had Bass, Shark and a nice ole’ Keeper Sturgeon.
Aiden got the Fever bad, but I think he will recover to catch again on the SoleMan.
Fishing today was red hottttt!!!!
We had the perfect set of tides for a combo/anchor trip.
Our group of 6 landed Bass, Sturgeon, Halibut and Flounder on the same trip......The rare San Pablo Bay Slam.
We actually had 2 Sturgeon, but let one go back to fight another day. Oh and we had lots of smaller Leopard Sharks too.
Spring fishing is as good as it gets now on the SoleMan.
August’s 1st fish
The winter Bass fishing is still good highlighted by young August catching his 1st two Bass.....EVER!
While they weren’t the Jumbos, they were the biggest one’s in his young career.
On another note we got the 1st Halibut this year and it’s all starting to shape up for a good season. I’ll continue to do combo trolling/anchor trips until live bait is available.
Lots of room available for March, reserve you trip now for prime dates.
Martin visiting from Cologne Germany enjoyed quality limits of striped bass and fantastic weather today and it looks to be an early run of spring bass this season!
On the water report.
Excellent bass bite as we speak, easy limits of quality striped bass by 12:00 pm.
We are seeing Sturgeon jumping by the boat, but have yet to hook one.
Well this is not the usual fishing report, but we pulled the old girl out of the water for her annual servicing. SoleMan now has a new propeller, a nice shiny clean bottom and bow protection from the anchor. As for fishing the bass are still biting in San Pablo bay, and with the recent rainstorms Mr. Sturgeon should be hungry. The boat goes back into the water tomorrow and we’ll be fishing on Saturday December 14.
We hope you have a happy holiday and wishing you a good New Year 2020.
Fall fishing is well underway and I’m seeing a good mix of Bass and the first signs of Sturgeon. The Sole-Man gets her annual service the second week of December, but she’ll be ready to go soon. Also with the Holidays approaching gift certificates are available for your love ones. Feel free to book to get your last Sturgeon of 2019.
